A Timeless Terrace
Thanks to a practical transformation with an emphasis on comfort and livability, this heritage terrace boasts more than timeless character. The now spacious home is also perfect for entertaining family and friends.
Demolition of the existing kitchen and living area marked the start of this striking transformation. The rear of the house was opened up and a new downstairs layout implemented, including an open plan kitchen with French doors opening onto the back deck, seamlessly connecting the new living space with the existing courtyard. The addition of a solid, spotted gum servery counter in the kitchen adds to the timeless appeal of this inner city terrace.
The front rooms were stripped and refreshed with new floorboards, as well as a custom floor-to-ceiling bookcase to beautifully showcase their collection of old vinyl records and books. A rolling ladder completes the look for this classic bookcase.
The upstairs transformation saw a pokey bedroom reconfigured as an ensuite and walk in robe for the master bedroom. Elegant style extends to the ensuite bathroom with rumbled travertine tiles, beaten copper basins, copper niche backing, and federation style tapware.
The project wouldn’t be complete without a few finishing touches, including hand made timber wall lights, a wall-hung pallet herb garden and external recycled brickwork.
